Dr. Max Doshay is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of KMN Psych, as well as a co-founder of several other treatment centers in the greater San Diego area (Monima Wellness Center and Element Q Healing). Max is extremely passionate about utilizing a variety of neuropsychological assessment techniques to assess whether a patient is diagnosed properly and medicated effectively and in a way that accurately addresses their needs and goals. Having trained under some of the leading professionals in the assessment field, Max has extensive experience in assessing, conceptualizing, and diagnosing complex mental health and cognitive concerns.
Prior to KMN Psych, Max worked and engaged in research in the world of professional sports. In particular, through research Max has extensively explored the relationship between mental toughness and on-field performance in professional baseball players. His experiences in working with the front offices and scouting departments of professional sports organizations, coupled with his love of providing clients objective answers to subjective problems, has caused Max to gravitate towards the world of Neuropsychological Assessment.
Max has previously served as Clinical Director of a leading residential and outpatient mental health treatment center and has direct experience working in a variety of extremely challenging clinical settings, from inpatient psychiatric hospitals and residential and outpatient mental health treatment centers to state prisons, where he helped develop and implement a chronic pain management treatment manual that was adopted by the entire prison system of the State of California. As a CEO, Max is a firm believer in creating a healing environment that is beneficial for patients and staff alike. Max strives to maintain a treatment setting with a motivated interdisciplinary team that communicates openly, kindly, and genuinely with each other with the shared mission of providing compassionate care for their patients.
Dr. Max Doshay received his Bachelors (BA) in Psychology from Kenyon College and earned a Master’s (MA) and Doctoral (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) and is a licensed psychologist in the State of California.
